General Rules

 

County Line Mud Drags General Regulations

The event will be run by classes. Entire classes will be informed when their class is up next and the order they will run. Contestants will be called in pairs to the staging area. If you are interrupting the overall timing of the event you could by disqualified for that run. There is a 3 minute limit once your name has been called.

 

If a contestant encounters mechanical trouble, they must inform the officials before his opponent has proceeded to the staging area to be moved back to the end of the class.

 

In the event there is more than one violation during a pass, the violation that occurs first will be disqualified for that round.

 

If, during a race, neither vehicle crosses the finish line under its own power, that race will be re-run at a later time.

 

Once your vehicles are staged and the stage light comes on, you cannot back-up and re-stage.

 

All vehicles, except stock, must have the number on the driver’s side – visible from the tower. Numbers are first-come, first serve.

 

A speed of 10 mph or slower will be maintained in pit area at all times. NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

A driver will be disqualified for recklessness or dangerous behavior.

 

Protest: $250.00 to protest, if upheld protester will retain money, if not upheld protested will receive all money.

 

There will be no alcoholic beverages or drugs of any kind in the pits or staging area. Consumption by a registered driver or co-driver will result in immediate disqualification. Any driver or crew member incapacitated due to an intoxicating agent will be escorted from the pit area and could result in ejection from County Line Mud Drags.

 

Use of profanity or threats by any contestant or member of their crew, may result in that vehicle and or driver being disqualified and banned from the track and loss of all money and points.

 

As track operators, we cannot be expected to foresee all circumstances. Therefore, be advised that just because a specific item is not covered by a written rule that it may be considered either legal or illegal. The Track operator will have the final word on all issues that come along.

 

All drivers are responsible for having their vehicles teched prior to racing. Teching will begin at the day of the race. No teching will be done within ½ hour before the race begins.

 

Gates open at 5:00 pm, entries after 7:30 will result in a $10.00 late fee, call the track if you are going to be late this fee may be waived.

 

Races start at 8:00 pm.

 

Registration for all vehicles will be from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

 

WARRANTY DISCLAIMER

The rules and or regulations set forth are designed for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the conditions of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of, or compliance with these rules and /or regulations. They are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official.

The track operator(or designee) shall be empowered to permit minor deviation from any of these specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that, in his opinion, do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from such alteration of specifications. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. THEIR DECISION IS FINAL.

 

SAFETY REGULATIONS

  • Vehicles must operate in a safe manner at all times. You can be disqualified for operating any vehicle in an unsafe manner or showing poor sportsmanship.
  • All vehicles must pass a safety/tech inspection.
  • No loose items in bed or cab of vehicle.
  • Each wheel will have all lug nuts and tight, no hubcaps or beauty rings.
  • Battery must be secured, and not in the drivers compartment.
  • No loose parts on vehicle. IE: fenders, bumpers, lights, etc.
  • Suspension, steering and brakes must be in good working order and safe.
  • Fuel system and tank must be secured, with fuel caps and in safe condition.
  • Drivers and co-drivers in all classes must wear seat belts and helmets.
  • All vehicles above STOCK must have roll cage with at least 5-point restraints. Threaded pipe-fittings or lap weld pipe is not allowed. (Round tube only)
  • Any ballast must be secured. No liquid or loose ballast.
  • Any vehicle crossing into the center of the track or striking the guardrail will be disqualified for that run.
  • Flame retardant suit required in all classes above STOCK.
  • No more than two people in vehicle during race.
  • A fire shield or wall must separate occupants from engine compartment.
  • Fire extinguisher required in all classes. (approved and working)
  • All vehicles must have brakes on wheels capable of locking and in good working order.
  • As soon as you cross the finish line, you must start deceleration immediately.
  • Once a vehicle is in the staging area, only driver and co-driver are allowed in vehicle.
  • Vehicle must stop immediately upon signal from official.
  • Contestant can only drive one vehicle in each class. Each driver and co-driver must be registered.
  • These updated rules supersede and prevail over all previous rules written or "unwritten"; drivers will be informed of any changes or additions to these rules at the drivers meeting.

 

ENTRY FEES

 

SPECTATOR ENTRY:

  • Adults - $10.00
  • 6-12 - $ 5.00
  • 5 & under - free signed liability waiver

 

PIT ADMISSION:

  • Requirements: $15.00 per individual / signed liability waiver
  • Pit pass (arm band)

No one without proper signed releases allowed in pits until after the races.

GATES OPEN AT 5:00 PM .

 

Payouts are based on 8 trucks per class, if less than 8 trucks the purse will be reduced to 75%.

 

 

POINTS:

  • 1st-40pts
  • 2nd-38pts
  • 3rd-36pts

All remaining places will be reduced by 2 points per place.

20 points will be awarded for entering.
